James Sallis’ Drive Gets Tricked Out

Ryan Gosling Stars in Drive, Adapted from James Sallis’ Novel
Via The Playlist, we found the details and watched the two-minute trailer for Drive, the movie which will be screened at Cannes next week, based upon James Sallis' fantastic, neo-noir novel of the same name.

The story about a stunt driver moonlighting as a getaway driver is directed for the screen by Nicolas Winding Refn and stars Ryan Gosling in the lead.  Co-stars include:  Carey Mulligan, Albert Brooks, Oscar Isaacs, Bryan Cranston, Christina Hendricks and Ron Perlman.

The cinematography is by Newton Thomas Siegal of The Usual Suspects and Three Kings, and reminds Oliver Lyttleton of Michael Mann's work.  We must agree.  Simply the most delicious roadways at night we've seen in…maybe ever.

Ready?  Set?  Peek

Back? Let's squee together, shall we?

That’s an evil clip. Takes you right up to the action. I want the next clip.

Sometimes I hate trailers for spoiling the suspense and magic of a movie. This one whet my appetite, too.
