Justified’s Walton Goggins:Exploring Dark Facets

Walton Goggins as Boyd Crowder in Justified
While we've been discussing the Justified Season 2 finale, trying to stretch the juice of the season like the last drops in a canteen, via Deadline, we learn that while we await the return of everyone's favorite, complicated, preachy, white-supremacist Boyd Crowder, actor Walton Goggins will be crawling around inside another dark character.

This time, he'll play a man suspected of sexual assault in the indie film Officer Down, co-starring with David Boreanaz, who usually plays TV's Seeley Booth, Bones' resident FBI good-guy. Being it's a crime story, we wish Walton Goggins all the luck, as long as it doesn't make him tardy for troublemaking in Season 3!

However, if you're looking for more specifically Western-themed goodness from Goggins (and don't mind a little planet-threatening invasion as a side dish)in late July, you'll be able to spy him in the dusty town of Absolution, Arizona Territory, circa 1873, in Cowboys & Aliens.

Goggins is a remarkable actor and was terrific on The Shield as the crooked cop with a concience. Tough when he had to be, tender when he wanted to be.
