BBC’s Sherlock: Crafting Your Own Episodes?

No cell phone (okay, mobile) included with Sherlock doll, but John Watson comes with laptop and cuppa tea
If you’ve been following our BBC’s New Sherlock write-ups of those tantalizingly, tortuously few episodes (“A Study in Pink,” “The Blind Banker,” and “The Great Game”) then you may know that the next 3-episode season has begun filming.   Those new episodes will begin airing, according to the BBC,  in “Autumn 2011,” just  indefinite enough to leave you slumped in despair with no date to circle in red Sharpie, as skeptical as if you’d been promised a Christmas pony, say, now.  What if it doesn’t happen?  Christmas might never come!

One’s just scored a GOOAL in soccer (okay, football) while the other’s just Stayin’ Alive
On such occasions, it’s up to the resourceful aficionado to keep her hands off of the devil’s plaything, and craft her own fun.  Heroically, Unicorn Empire Prints have leapt into the breach to assist as nimbly as if vaulting a Swiss mountain gorge.

According to the manufacturers, moments after you assemble the bits of board with their brads, these posable wonders are ready for anything, including tango dancing.  I’m not quite ready to start filming and yelling for re-writes on my own episode, at least not until I finish gluing all the toothpicks for my scale-model London Eye.  But if your paper pair have any documented adventures, I’m begging you to share!  Autumn can feel so. far. away.

I just recently watched “A Study in Pink” and “The Blind Banker.” Now, I’m thinking about saving “The Great Game” so I can deal with the withdrawal symptoms. (Maybe I’ll watch the last episode in 1 minute installments to stretch it out…)
