Stairway Of Heaven

Staircase with risers painted to look like the spines of booksI really wish I knew where this image originated. It’s all over the Web, but I’d like to give props to the person who came up with the idea because I think it’s fantastic. I so want to do this to my staircase, but I doubt my husband would let me. I love the details, especially the text on the Sherlock Holmes collection!

What books would you include on your book staircase if you had one?

I remember seeing something like this at a bookstore somewhere, but due to having read too many books and remembering obscure plots and characters, I can't remember where it was. No help I know, but just wanted to add my admiration for the stairs as well.

@DeborahLacy, thanks! Those books are some of my favorites, and would show up on a "Desert Island" list along w/ the Bible, Greek-English lexicons, and more Tolkien, Lewis, etc. . . . the "Desert Island" would have to have plenty of book space, lol :).
