Yeeeouch! Every child’s worst nightmare has happened: someone was killed by an atomic wedgie. “I'd never seen this before, but when we first looked at our victim, the waistband of his underwear was around his neck,” says Oklahoma’s Pottawatomie County Sheriff Mike Booth. The victim, Denver Lee St. Clair, was already deceased when police discovered his body. His stepson, Brad Davis told investigators a fight broke out after he stopped by the house.
Davis says St. Clair “jumped” him when he arrived at the home. It seems there was an altercation at that point: St. Clair had a head wound and his underwear had been pulled up his back, over his head, and around his neck. His cause of death was found to be asphyxiation and blunt force trauma. Basically, he was “suffocated with his own underwear.”
Davis now faces a murder charge. It's not entirely clear what caused the argument between the two men, but WOWK-TV says St. Clair may have trash-talked Davis' mother.
So remember boys and girls, atomic wedgies do kill…
