No thanks.We’re all used to the opposing messages “ripped from the headlines” or “this is a work of fiction; any resemblance toactual events or locales or persons, living or dead, is entirely coincidental.” In fact, at times, the fiction disclaimer appears on stories we recognize as being culled from our local papers (this happens to me all the time when I watch Law & Order).
But recently, we ran across a list of real crimes inspired by movies. The movies include Natural Born Killers, A Clockwork Orange, American Psycho, Saw, even Child’s Play 3. The list describes the subsequently committed crimes in detail, so don’t click the link if you have a weak stomach!
