Death By Clowning or 19th Cent. Non-Hilarity Ensued

We were having such fun…and then, it all went horribly wrong.
You can try and try, but some people just won’t be cheered up.

This defeated merrymaker is a 16th century Polish court Jester. However, it was painted by 19th century artist Jan Matejko in 1862, fairly contemporaneously with this weird and unique account of an unnatural death from Lowering the Bar:



The most awful death imaginable? Or is it absolutely the way to go? Wheeeee!
