Crime Fiction for the Holidays

A Rumpole Christmas
Traditional treats
Come December, it’s time to pick your poison. Whether you celebrate Christmas or Hanukkah or Kwanza, you’re probably up to your neck in planning, preparing or panicking. And if you celebrate none of the above, you are probably frustrated with all the craziness of the season. In any case, you surely need to relax and take some time out for yourself with a good book.  Janet Rudolph, keeper of the Mysterious Calendar, has a comprehensive list of holiday-themed mysteries on her site.

First, the Hanukkah crime fiction.  There aren’t many, so they’re just in one post.

There is so much Christmas crime fiction, on the other hand, that Janet had to break the list down alphabetically! Apparently, sleigh bells inspire thoughts of murder.

So what about it? Do the holidays inspire you to want to do away with anyone? Can you get your frustrations out by just picking up a book instead?
