In addition to last night’s thrilling “Battle of the Bastards,” HBO aired its new trailer for the upcoming Westworld series. Judging from the trailer, this series is going to be dark, sexy, creepy, mind-blowing, and all-around good television.
Featuring a star-studded cast, including Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Jimmi Simpson, and more, this 10-episode drama series, inspired by the motion picture Westworld, is a “dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the evolution of sin.”
Written and directed by Michael Crichton and produced by J.J. Abrams and Jonathan Nolan, Westworld is “set at the intersection of the near future and the reimagined past,” and “explores a world in which every human appetite, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged.”
