The 80s Action Stars Have an Escape Plan

You ever find yourself lying awake at night wondering what would it be like if the Terminator and Rambo got locked up in a super-secret, high-tech prison and then had to escape? Me too! Thankfully we can all stop worrying and finally get that much needed sleep the new movie, Escape Plan is just what we need. Here is the official synopsis:

Ray Breslin (Stallone), the world's foremost authority on structural security, agrees to take on one last job: breaking out of an ultra-secret, high-tech facility called 'The Tomb.' But when he is wrongly imprisoned, he must recruit fellow inmate Emil Rottmayer (Schwarzenegger) to help devise a daring, nearly impossible plan to escape from the most protected and fortified prison ever built.

I think it has everything I need from a movie, and it should be out in theatres this October. What do you say, are you in?

All I can say is I hope there’s no dialogue. Because the idea of those two guys talking to each other through an entire movie… *shudder*

I don’t know, it could be like a Tango & Cash. Just imagine Kurt Russell having a proclivity towards HGH and a thick Germanic accent.

I’ve NEVER been a fan of Stallone and I have to agree with “anonymousie.” At least it looks like Stallone has found himself a good plastic surgeon to straighten up what the other guy did. While it looks good, I’d probably watch it for sure if there were others starring in it. I’m on the fence. I watched Bruce Willis in A Good Day to Die Hard. While Bruce has aged MUCH better than Sly, this movie was still AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL. I sometimes think that when “some” actors (and I use that term loosely) get to a certain age, they should just go quietly into that good night. They no longer have the good looks that made them popular in the first place and now their acting, or lack of it, is forefront.
