Despite the indisputable visual evidence of our Sherlock and Justified zombie mash-ups, some people will still claim that certain things don’t mix. Ah, but the heady thrill of challenge is exactly what master mash-up site Draw2D2 is all about. And as we near the end of Undead April, artist Adam Carlson is raising the degree of difficulty, combining the queen of cozy, Jessica Fletcher of Murder, She Wrote herself, with zombies!
Adam loves to work with ink, old-school. From the bicycle with the wicker basket to the kitten in the tree to the way our sleuth uses her brains to create a diversion (see what we did there), this piece is a gorgeous Maine moose-load of awesome! Yes, Jessica will make darn sure Cabot Cove survives the horde, but only one registered commenter will triumph in our contest for this super-boss piece of original art.
This sweepstakes has ended. For current opportunities, see our Sweepstakes feature page.
To enter for a chance to win the original artwork, “Zombies, She Wrote” by Adam Carlson, make sure you’re a registered member of the site, and then simply leave a comment below.

Jessica!
Excellent!
I’ll bite.
Gore-geous!
Watch out for bone chips–no time to have a flat!
Brains!
What a crazy mash-up idea! The undead are so entertaining…
These mashups are FANTASTIC. Love the art for this one.
This is awesome. AWESOME. Unbelievably awesome.
Pretty dang cool!
Wonderful.
Undead April might be over but Criminal Element lives on!
Jessica Fletcher: Zombie Killer! Since most of the residents of Cabot Cove seem to have canes, they can just swing them and knock off the zombies’ heads. That is, unless some of the zombies have remembered how to use their wheelchairs—then look out! “The Wheeling Dead” next year on CBS!
Beautiful art!
A very interesting story along with beautiful artwork!
Kitty had better stay in the tree…yikes! Keep peddling, Jessica, and don’t run out of B-R-A-I-N-S!!! Beautiful colors, Adam…the gore is just perfect. Actually, this is a very cool piece of art that I could see hanging in my office at work…if I could wrest it away from my son, that is.
I want to win!
truly excellent…would love to win this!!! fingers and toes crossed!!!!!
Cozy and zombies in the same sentence? Here kitty, kitty. 😉
This is pretty much perfect.
I want to grow up to be Jessica Fletcher!
Great prize!
This is great!! Just in the last year have I become a huge fan of Jessica Fletcher! Watch her everyday for two hours if possible!! I can totally see her dealing with zombies!
Never to old to bash in some zombie brain!
Nice artwork.
Love to have that picture on the wall of the crypt. Sign me up!
I’d love to win!
Murder She Wrote is one of my all-time favorite shows. I would love to win this.
Jessica has always been a favorite!! Would love this for our library!!!
I would be so THRILLED to get this. Jessica Fletcher is one of my heroes.
Sounds promising. I loved Murder she Wrote the series as a child. Just imagine Jessica Fletcher and Zombies in the same story. You’ve got to love that.
I love MURDER, SHE WROTE – and I love this artwork!
My daughter had Zombies riding bikes outside the Dragonfly restaurant in the third annual ride during her wedding shower party. She even knew one of the riders who stopped to visit on the sidelines wearing full make-up. Mash-ups and genre crossings make for the most interesting reads.
I would love to win this! I just love Jessica Fletcher! Watched her with my grandmother and still watch her with my mother sometimes!
