Stop That Mime!

Some pictures are worth more than a thousand words. Like this one, by Ariana Cubillos of the Associated Press, of mimes in Caracas, Venezuela. Caracas is one of several South American cities that have decided to take a new, silent approach to fighting traffic crime, employing mimes to mock drivers and pedestrians who disregard the rules of the road.

I doubt these guys would last long where I live. Mimes are mocked, practically stoned.  (Okay, some mimes are stoned, but that’s not what I meant.) If they stepped out into traffic, they’d be taking their lives into their hands, regardless of that glass box they all seem to stand in.

More fabulous pictures are available at the Daily Mail, UK.
