Caffeine Addiction Stops Trains

Coffee beats T
Sometimes, you just gotta have a cup of coffee.

Apparently, that was the case on Friday when a coffee maker, plugged into an outlet at a “T” (Boston’s subway/train) station, was identified as a “suspicious device” and stopped all service on one of the city’s major lines.

The extension cord plugged in inside the fare gates disappeared into a vent and wound up in a secure room where MBTA police found a coffeemaker attached at the end.

Next time, buddy, go for a chocolate bar—plenty of caffeine, no electricity required.

That would be me. I’d rather have coffee than chocolate.
