And If You Believe That, I’ve Got A Bridge To Sell You

Yeah, that’s just what I need for my backyard.
According to UPI, last week a fifty-foot bridge was stolen in Pennsylvania. The estimated value of said bridge was $100,000, and officials believe it was stolen to be sold for scrap metal. But the strange doesn’t stop there. As I discovered when searching the Web for more information, this is actually not the only time a bridge has disappeared. Probably my favorite quote comes from a story on the theft of a Czech railroad bridge:

“We are not sure if it was taken for personal use or for its scrap value.”

Just what is the appropriate personal use for a railroad bridge?
