Filming A Scandal in Belgravia: Sherlock in a Toga!

BBC Sherlock: Benedict Cumberbatch sheeted while filming A Scandal in Belgravia/ Sherlockology
Sherlockology has been on the case, documenting the production of upcoming episodes from the BBC’s second season of Sherlock.  Now, there’s lot of new info and pix from “A Scandal in Belgravia,” which filmed despite the London riots.  See the fake rain and Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) in a sheet!  See John Watson (Martin Freeman) and Irene Adler (Lara Pulver) together!  See Watson get soaked as the uber-prepared Mycroft (Mark Gatiss) stays dry!

We watched a scene from literally a few feet away where Sherlock leaves 221 to get into a waiting car…We hadn’t noticed Benedict appear (who seems to have adopted Martin’s ability to materialize out of thin air) and as we sat chatting amongst ourselves directly next to the 221B door, there he was next to us discussing the scene he was about to do. He disappeared afterwards but then a second later he was back, in not much more than a sheet no less, and there the scene began to play out.

Thanks to Sherlockology for doing all the waiting and snapping so that we across the pond can stay informed and entertained.  If you’re along the eastern seaboard of the U.S., please vicariously enjoy this rain that turns off with a spigot anytime you like!
