Because many of us may meander to see the spy Bond and patriot Jack Ryan take on E.T. in Cowboys & Aliens this weekend (and in honor of our Longmire news from yesterday), I present to you Brisco County Jr.
Yep, before he was working with spies in Burn Notice, Bruce Campbell rode his trusty steed Comet across the open range in The Adventures of Brisco County Jr. Campbell plays a Harvard lawyer-turned-bounty hunter who is hired by a group of industrialists to track down a dangerous gang.
Now I’m not going to say that Longmire was mis-cast or anything, but just check out how cool Bruce plays it in this clip…
And if you’ve seen the Evil Dead movies, you know aliens aren’t any match for him either.
And Bruce Campbell also does comedy. As a grandma, I have watched the movie Sky High more time than I can count. Bruce plays a very funny gym coach in a high school for superheros and sidekicks. I believe he canplay any role really well.
He also has a couple of pretty enjoyable books out there Terrie. They are about working in “blue-collar hollywood”. He has a very funny, very honest voice in both of them. I know one is called “If Chins Could Kill”, not sure on the other.
Well, Bruce Campbell is certainly multi-talented. I’ll certainly look for his books.
