Award Lee Child a Theakston’s Old Peculier

Theakston Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival

While some of the recent news surrounding Lee Child’s works has been met with, um, mixed reviews, fans should experience unabashed pleasure that he’s just won the 2011 award, his first, from the Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival, held in Harrogate, UK. The winning title was Jack Reacher’s 14th adventure, 61 Hours.

This award is only open to paperback works of the previous year, and is voted upon by the public as well as a jury panel.  Congratulations to him and to all the nominees of this peculierly wonderful award, sponsored annually by Theakston, brewer of legendary ales.
