You may have heard that America’s Most Wanted was being canceled by FOX after 23 seasons.  Word is that John Walsh, who founded the show after the disappearance of his own son, is looking for a new network home.  However, if AMW meets its sunset, it will be with full honors, because Deadline reports that Walsh will be awarded the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences’ Governors Award this year.  According to the show’s tally, the program has assisted in the capture of an astounding 1154 wanted criminals.  For each year it’s been on, that’s over 50 captures, or averaging one per week, if they took the occasional breather for winter vacation and spring break.  We’re ashamed to admit it, but none of us at HQ caught even one fugitive this week.  You?
