Left Coast Crime is always a fun time. Because it was held in Sacramento, this year’s theme was “Mining for Murder.” With another conference now in the books, here are all the award winners honored as of this weekend (complete list of nominees here):
The Real Macaw by Donna Andrews was awarded the Lefty for best humorous crime novel.
The Bruce Alexander Memorial Historical Mystery Award went to Mercury’s Rise by Ann Parker.
The Golden Nugget for the best mystery set in California—the site of this year’s LCC—was given to City of Secrets by Kelli Stanley.
The Eureka for the best first mystery was awarded to Nazareth Child by Darrell James.
During the convention, an award is also given by the Independent Mystery Booksellers Association to the title that member booksellers have most enjoyed selling. This year’s DILYS winner is Ghost Hero by S.J. Rozan.
Congratulations to all!
