The first official trailer has been released for Kingsman: The Secret Service, a film adapted from the comic book series The Secret Service by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons. The film is set to star Colin Firth, Taron Egerton, Michael Caine, Samuel L. Jackson, and Mark Hamill.
Due to their visual nature, comic books are the perfect medium when it comes to film adaptations. The storyboard is practically finished before you start. While superheros have dominated Hollywood recently, not all comic books feature caped crusaders. The Secret Service is a comic book series where a veteran secret agent (played by Firth in the film) takes a young boy (Egerton) under his wing and shows him the underbelly of the world's most high tech spy organization.
The trailer is bound to please Bond fans, as the gadgets seem to be present and plentiful.
