%*#$! in Peace: The Most Vicious Obituary?

The Reno Gazette Journal recently published an obituary that struck many readers as unusual (and not just because of the time-traveling). From MyNews4.com:

Marianne Theresa Johnson-Reddick born Jan 4, 1935 and died alone on Sept. 30, 2013 [sic-Johnson died Aug. 30]. She is survived by her 6 of 8 children whom she spent her lifetime torturing in every way possible. While she neglected and abused her small children, she refused to allow anyone else to care or show compassion towards them. When they became adults she stalked and tortured anyone they dared to love. Everyone she met, adult or child was tortured by her cruelty and exposure to violence, criminal activity, vulgarity, and hatred of the gentle or kind human spirit.

Originally submitted through an online form to the newspaper, you can read the rest at the link, though the obit has since been removed. Contacted by the Daily Mail for follow-up, one of the women's sons, who helped write the obituary, says he sang “Ding, Dong, The Witch is Dead” upon hearing his mother had died and that he and his other siblings are currently planning a celebration for the end of the month.

Wow…. Poor kids, too bad there will be no peace or closure for the children. I hope they are getting help.
