@clare2e – Darth Vader is very intimidating. Perhaps they were tweeting the photos to warn the Rebel Alliance and get help.
PS – I just tweeted about this and got a response from @jedimasteryoda. Apparently there is a Yoda bot if you use the words Darth Vader in a tweet. I don’t know why these bots amuse me so much, but they do. I love @insanecastlebot too.
These are so cute. It must be fun to live in NYC. I bet you always come across crazy people doing fun things! My fave was the ghostbusters.
Born and raised here in NYC, I am mega impressed that the NYPL allowed the ghostbuster film to be made. When we were kids we used to regularly get thrown out of the 42nd St. Library for a whole lot less. (Running up and down the inside staircase comes to mind, as does sitting on the floor playing cards.) @ Kerry, the things that some New Yorkers do are usually distinctive if not always funny. I am still waiting to be caught up in a flash mob.
Kerry, New York City can sometimes be vexing, but you’re right — we also get completely unexpected wonderful things happening. Sometimes they’re the same event, like the time in Union Square when someone’s giant popsicle project did a catastrophic meltdown and flooded the immediate area.
