The Force vs. The Force

May the force be with you!
Both of my (adult) brothers play with lightsabers. We all grew up addicted to Star Wars, but all of us—I’m pretty sure—understand that lightsaber technology is not yet actually available, and that if it were, using it on innocent toy store shoppers and the police force would definitely not make you a Jedi.

Such is not the case for David Allen Campbell, however, who has been ordered spend forty-five days in jail—and to get a mental health evaluation, which seems to me the more important issue—because:

Portland police say Canterbury had a Star Wars light saber in each hand as he swung at three customers last Dec. 14 at a Toys R Us store. He carried the light sabers outside the store and swung at police.

Apparently, he forgot that the Force shouldn’t be used against the force.

Wow…hard core sentence!!! I have seen real criminals get NO time for real crimes. Sounds like this guy needs to spend the 45 days at the mental hospital!!! Sounds like the Portland force needs to not abuse the sick force!!!
