We’ve explained the importance of copyediting in the past, but it’s a new year and we thought we’d start it off right with a quick reminder. If a picture’s worth a thousand words, I sure hope most of them are spelled better than this guy’s tattoo.
Of course, maybe he’s just not finished and around the other side he had planned more so that the whole thing would read: Ass, as in: “I am an ass.” Once upon a time (here’s your factoid of the day) words in manuscripts had no spaces between them. So maybe his tattoo artist just ran it all together in homage to medieval scribes.
But I don’t think so.
