Laurence Fishburne Leaving CSI

Laurence is giving you the fish(burne) eye!
Laurence Fishburne stepped in to William Petersen’s shoes when he left CSI, and now Fishburne has announced he’ll be leaving after only two seasons.

Costar Marg Helgenberger also has plans to reduce her role in the upcoming season, which could mean a complete revamp of the show. No doubt crusty character actors in Hollywood are busy getting their agents on the phone right now.  They all know that, again this year, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is the most watched television series in the world.

Already media outlets are speculating on who will replace Laurence Fishburne in CSI; will it be Michael Chiklis? Dylan McDermott? Minnie Driver? Jimmy Smits? Michael Chiklis (again)?

Who do you think should replace Laurence Fishburne on CSI?

I voted for Terry O’Quinn, but wouldn’t mind Dylan McDermott.

I say Jeff Goldblum, for tweaky, odd fun.(Steve Buscemi as outer limit awesome!) Dylan McDermott’s an entirely different kind of choice, but could be good, too.

I kinda liked the idea at least one of those articles mentioned, which is having a woman at the helm–they mentioned Minnie Driver. Or how about Don Cheadle, who is an awesome and intense actor? That’d be fun (I know, he’s a movie star, not on TV. A girl can dream!).
